[tps_header]For a century Epecuan was a city that had been submerged underwater. Located in Argentine farmlands, the lake that the city was built next to overflowed and a retaining wall broke. Eventually 33 feet of saltwater submerged the town. However, the lake has begun to recede, exposing the buildings that had been underwater for a century. It has not been rebuilt, however, there is something hauntingly beautiful about this abandoned town that makes it a popular tourist destination. Pretty amazing.[/tps_header]
